Business Plan

You are always well advised to write up your own business plan as you have your own ideas and vision for how you wish your business to operate, grow and develop. This is an important process and document in that it provides a road map for you in developing your business and provides information to potential investors. The Board can assist you in putting a structure and format together.

Financial Supports

Financial supports are available for manufacturing or internationally traded businesses operating in County Cork. Please see our Financial Supports Page for More information. It is advisable to contact a Projects Executive to make an appointment first to discuss your idea and application.

Mentoring

The Board may appoint a business consultant to act as a mentor to your business to assist you in identifying obstacles and overcoming difficulties in areas such as production, finance, marketing, sales and distribution. Please contact your local Board for more information on their Scheme.

Business Development & Business Training Courses

The Board Provides a comprehensive range of Business Training Courses, from a Start your Own Business Programme to more Sector specific Business Development Programmes, Events, Seminars and Networking Opportunities to assist you in developing your business skills, contacts and knowledge. Networking

Networking is a key tool today to develop and grow your Business. Each Board provides a range of Networking Events over the year, both general and sector specific, to assist you to make contacts, share information, develop opportunities and grow your business. Examples include the Food Forum Network, and the Network of Enterprising Women (NEW).

Technical Assistance Grants

Some Boards offer online trading Grants or Small Exporters Grant to assist you to develop your business in these ways. Please contact your local Board to see if they operate this scheme.
